FAQ

Questions and Answers

Is this covered by insurance?

Many extended health benefit plans cover services provided by a Registered Psychotherapist. We provide detailed receipts that you can submit to your insurance provider for reimbursement. We recommend confirming coverage directly with your plan.

What if my partner doesn’t want to come?

It’s common for one partner to feel hesitant. If your partner is unwilling to attend initially, you’re welcome to begin with an individual session. Often, when one partner begins the process, it creates momentum for the other to participate.

How long does therapy take?

The length of therapy depends on your goals and the level of distress in the relationship. Some couples experience meaningful shifts within a few months, while others choose longer-term work to deepen connection and rebuild trust. This is something we’ll clarify during your consultation.

Is this confidential?

Yes. All sessions are fully confidential and conducted in accordance with professional and legal standards for Registered Psychotherapists in Ontario.
